Sonax declared “Brand of the Century”
The car care specialist Sonax was named “Brand of the Century” by the well respected german publisher Dr. Florian Langenscheidt.
An eminent expert advisory board decides on which brands are included in the compendium “Marken des Jahrhunderts – Leuchttürme auf dem Markenmeer” (Brands of the Century – Beacons in the Sea of Brands) published by Dr. Florian Langenscheidt. By receiving this award, Sonax belongs to the exclusive group of approximately 250 German brands that, according to the expert advisory board, uniquely stand for an entire industry – like Sonax does for car care.
On 22 November 2012, Dr. Florian Langenscheidt personally presented the “Deutsche Standards brand award” at a festive evening event in the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. Manfred Hoffman, Owner of the Hoffman Group of Companies and Managing Director of Sonax GmbH, and Daniel Ott, Head of Marketing and Sales, accepted the award. The high-class porcelain sculpture created by the Fürstenberg manufacture was designed exclusively for the award ceremony by renowned designer Mike Meiré. History of leading German brands in words and picturesIn “Brands of the Century”, the publisher “Deutsche Standards Editionen” uses both images and texts to document the history of leading German brands, creating a remarkable overview of Germany's economic strength. This year, the publisher celebrates the ten-year success story of “Brands of the Century” with a special anniversary edition, which has the motto “Beacons in the Sea of Brands” and was also designed by media designer Mike Meiré.Starting with a print run of 20,000 copies in German, English and Mandarin, “Brands of the Century" will be distributed nationally and internationally via book stores, politics and commerce.
For more than 60 years, the German expert has developed and manufactured premium car care products, and is one of the leading international players: the brand is represented in around 100 countries around the globe.
